About Marilyn

Professional/Ministerial Experience

Marilyn was born in New York and is of Haitian descent. She accepted Christ at the age of 10 and grew up in the church where she was active in all aspect of church life. Over the years she assumed many leadership roles and grew in the Word of God and in her faith.  She holds a deep love for Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.

In 1976 the Lord called Marilyn and her husband, Reverend Delinois to South Florida to minister to the Haitian community. Together, they co-founded the Haitian Evangelical Baptist Church of Pompano Beach, where they continue to serve and lead.

With a Master’s Degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Knox Theological Seminary, Marilyn left a 23-year career in Nursing to enter full-time ministry alongside her husband, Reverend Pierre Y. Delinois. She continues to pursue her teaching ministry, writing ministry on Bible exegesis and seeing Christ throughout the Bible.

Marilyn and her husband are blessed with four children and seven beautiful grandchildren (Baylen, Amelie, Blake, Noelle, Leonie and Braxton and Pierre Yvon III).

My Purpose:

  • To show that the much unappreciated and sometimes denigrated use of typology in Biblical exegesis is indeed an essential tool in sound interpretation and understanding of the Bible.
  • To provide a fresh and deep understanding of difficult to understand Bible passages.
  • To provide a Christocentric approach to Bible study and help readers to see Christ throughout Scripture.
  • To show Christians the extent to which God exalts His son, Jesus Christ, throughout scripture.
